Our friend Alexander Mostov, who is both an INCREDIBLE illustrator and longtime community member at Common AREA Maintenance is supporting our Mail Art Club with one of his Risograph prints!

“I have my dream job: I get to draw all day. I make playful, inclusive illustrations for everything from picture books to apps. I am inspired by plants, animals, architecture, and people.”

We are so excited that the Cadence Film Festival is here! The video poem showings begin April 19-April 21 at Northwest Film Forum, but CAM had the joy of collaborating with Zine Hug and Cadence for a risograph animation workshop.

POEM OF POEM TITLES FOR "DAYS OF THE WEEK"

During the festival workshop, participants animated a collaborative video poem set to Dao Strom’s poem “POEM OF POEM TITLES FOR ‘DAYS OF THE WEEK’”. This poem was originally published in Instrument with Traveler’s Ode as a collaborative print book publication + cassette album release of Fonograf Editions and Antiquated Future Records (2020).

Amy Hirayama is making Love poems to jackets, meditations on the color blue, memories of unfortunate rips, acid wash opinions, sexual and/or spiritual awakenings due to Britney and Justin’s 2001 AMA ensembles– we’re seeking work with literal, proximal or tenuous connections to denim.
