I have an urgent announcement and an amazing opportunity that needs your support. A historic 30,000-square-foot building right next to our original home on 2nd Ave, is at risk of demolition. The current owners support our vision and are willing to transfer the property to us, but we must act fast to prove to the city that this space should be preserved for community use.

This building has the potential to become an essential resource for affordable housing, residency space for touring artists and teachers, nonprofit offices, gallery space, and performance venues. We have assembled an incredible team of affordable housing experts, the building’s original architects, and a dedicated group of nonprofit partners who are committed to making this happen.

However, the Department of Construction and Inspections will be making a decision on the demolition permit very soon. We only have a few weeks to show that our community wants and needs this space!
