In the heart of Seattle winter, any uttered word or expressed movement drips with the big drizz.
Local writers and poets performed creations/divinations/grievances into the falling clouds to make and unmake themselves–and us–moment by moment, drop by drop.
Readings were followed by a night of Karaoke!
In reflection, the event organizers said:
“It was an absolute dream to work with CAM. The leadership team was organized yet flexible, which allowed for breezy and innovative event prep. I especially appreciated Timothy’s and Amy’s willingness to work with the curators on visioning the event while keeping an eye on practicalities. Timothy’s support setting up and running the event enabled seamless programming transitions. I am especially grateful for the accessibility of CAM’s space and pricing flexibility, both of which were crucial to the event’s success. It was a privilege to host a free poetry event, open to all community tributaries, without worrying about cost barriers or thresholds.
